Additional Signing Settings

This article explains the settings available when creating a signing.

With these settings, you can, among other things, sign the document yourself, define a specific signing order, allow signers to sign multiple documents with a single signature, and add an internal reference.

Configuring Your Signing Settings

When it comes to signing documents, we understand that everyone has their own unique preferences and needs.

That's why we offer a variety of options for you to customize your signing experience. In this article, we'll walk you through how to configure your signing settings to best suit your needs.

Accessing Your Signing Settings

To access your signing settings, simply click on the Settings button, as shown in the image below:

Enabling Yourself as a Signer

If you need to sign the document yourself, you can easily enable this option by clicking on I need to sign.

This will automatically add you as a signer, as shown in the image below:

Setting a Specific Signing Order

In some cases, it may be necessary for the signers to sign in a specific order. To enable this option, simply click on Signers must sign in a specific order.

Once enabled, you'll be able to drag and drop the signers in the list, as shown by the bottom arrow in the image below:

Adding Multiple Signers

Adding multiple signers to a document or public form in Addo Sign is straightforward after completing the first signature. Follow these steps:

  1. Begin the signing process and ensure at least one person completes their signature first.

  2. After the initial signature is completed, the option to add more signers will become available.

  3. Include additional signers in the workflow before finalizing the process.

This ensures that the document or form progresses through the signing stages systematically and that all necessary parties are included.

Note: The option to add additional signers becomes available only after at least one person has completed their signature. This ensures a smooth and sequential signing flow.

Sign Multiple Documents with a Single Signature

If a transaction contains multiple documents, you can enable Sign Multiple Documents with a Single Signature (Signing Key).

When this feature is enabled, the signer only needs to identify themselves once. They can then sign all documents with a single signature.

This makes the signing process faster while also reducing credit consumption.

Note: A transaction is only considered complete when all documents have been signed. It is not possible to download individual signed documents from a partially completed transaction. If the transaction expires, the remaining documents must be sent in a new transaction.

Adding Your Own Reference

For your own organizational purposes, you can add a reference to your signing. This can be anything that helps you identify the document, such as a project name or client name. Simply enter your reference in the bottom input field, as shown below:

Accessing Your References

Once you have added a reference, you can easily search for it from the list of signings. Simply click on the Reference number, and note that you might need to select it from the cog wheel to adjust your table:¨'

Note: You must be logged into your account to access references from the list mentioned above.
