What are Signing Methods?
Signing methods refer to the various options available in Addo Sign, which we often call digital signatures in everyday language.
Signing digitally works the same way as placing your physical signature with ink - it is an equally valid and binding method.
A digital signature has legal value and can contain various information about the signer, depending on the type of signature used.
Signing Methods for Distribution
When you create a new signing, it's important to consider:
Who is going to sign.
How are they going to sign.
When you click on 'Add one or more signers', a window will open where you can choose the preferred signing method.
⚠️Your choice under Authentication will in some cases lock your options in Signing. For example, this will happen with MitID. This applies, for example, if you choose MitID, in which case MitID automatically becomes the only available signing method.
Signing Methods in Templates
You can advantageously predefine how signers should sign in a template. This speeds up the process and ensures a consistent setup when you create new signings.
Choice of Method
You can select the desired signing method by clicking on the dropdown menu under 'Signing'.
